Booking reference, passport for international flights (valid for at least six months), entry visas if required, and any necessary border declarations (e.g., NZeTA, ESTA, ETA).

Seat selection is available during online check-in. Standard seats are complimentary on long-haul flights when check-in opens. Preferred seats, Exit Row seats, and Economy Stretch seats are available for a fee ranging from $10 to $105 USD/CAD depending on the route and seat type. Koru members receive complimentary Frequent Flyer Seating.

Passports must remain valid for a minimum period beyond the planned return date. Entry visas, border declarations (like NZeTA or ESTA), and digital arrival cards may be required depending on the destination. Passport details must be entered during online check-in.

Groups of 10 or more must check in at the airport. Mobile check-in is not available for bookings with 9 or more passengers. For groups of more than 9 passengers checking in online, you must enter names exactly as shown on passports. Groups can use airport kiosks with staff assistance.

1. 1'Unable to check in online' - Your itinerary may include a flight not operated by Air New Zealand, or passport details may not be up to date.
2. 2'Can't see digital boarding pass' - You may be at an airport that doesn't accept electronic boarding passes; check in manually at the airport.
3. 3'Booking removed when signed out' - Bookings are removed for a cleaner experience but will reappear when you sign back in with the same credentials.
