6. 6Choose how to receive your boarding pass (email, download/print, or mobile wallet).

e-ticket itinerary/receipt, passport, and visa/e-visa if required for the destination country. For US-bound flights, country of residence and address of stay are also mandatory.

Seat selection is available for free during booking and online check-in, though availability depends on fare type and booking class. Paid Advance Seat Selection is available for extra legroom seats in Economy Class.

Passport and visa information must be registered during online check-in. For smartphone/tablet users, documents can be scanned. If registered manually, additional verification may be required at the airport. Online check-in may not be available at some airports due to local regulations.

You can select multiple passengers for online check-in. If your companion is booked under a separate reservation, you can add them by clicking 'Check-in passengers from another booking' and verifying their details.

1. 1'Unable to check in online' - Ensure you meet eligibility criteria (not a charter flight, within 24-1 hours). Check that you entered only half-width alphanumeric characters with no unnecessary spaces.
2. 2'Error message or blank screen' - Clear browser cache and cookies, update the app, or check the list of major errors on the JAL website.
3. 3'Cannot select a seat' - The range of selectable seats depends on fare type and booking class. Check again 72 hours or 24 hours before departure when more seats may become available.
