Editorial Independence

Camli's editorial content is produced independently from our commercial operations. Our editorial team does not receive commissions or incentives based on booking volume. Fare comparisons, airline reviews, and destination guides are written to inform travelers — not to steer them toward specific airlines or routes.

When content references a Camli service or fare, it is clearly labeled. We distinguish between editorial content and promotional material throughout the site.

Author Attribution & Expertise

Every article published on Camli is attributed to a named author with verifiable credentials. Our editorial team includes former airline revenue managers, travel journalists with bylines in major publications, and destination researchers with on-the-ground experience.

Author profiles are available on our Team page, including credentials, years of experience, and areas of specialization. We believe readers deserve to know who is writing the content they rely on for travel decisions.

Data Sources & Verification

Fare data referenced in our content is sourced from Global Distribution Systems (GDS), specifically Sabre and Amadeus, which are the same systems used by airlines and travel agencies worldwide. We also cross-reference airline websites directly for published fares.

Our fact-checking process requires every fare comparison to be verified against at least two independent sources before publication. See our Fact-Checking Policy for the complete methodology.

Destination information is sourced from official tourism boards, government travel advisories (US State Department, UK FCDO), and verified through on-the-ground research by our editorial team.

Content Freshness & Update Schedule

Airfare pricing is inherently dynamic. We update fare-related content on the following schedule:

  • Route fare guides: Updated weekly with current GDS pricing data
  • Airline reviews: Updated quarterly or when significant service changes occur
  • Destination guides: Updated monthly with seasonal route changes and travel advisory updates
  • Deal pages: Updated daily with live consolidator availability

Every article displays a "Last updated" timestamp. If fare data in an article is more than 7 days old, we add a notice indicating that prices may have changed.

Corrections & Retractions

We take accuracy seriously. When we identify an error in published content — whether reported by a reader or discovered internally — we follow this process:

  1. Minor corrections (typos, formatting): Fixed immediately with no notice required.
  2. Factual corrections (incorrect fare data, wrong airline policy): Fixed within 24 hours with a visible correction notice at the top of the article.
  3. Material errors (incorrect safety information, misleading comparisons): Article is temporarily removed, corrected, reviewed by a senior editor, and republished with a full correction notice.

To report an error, email [email protected] with the article URL and a description of the issue.

Commercial Relationships & Disclosure

Camli earns revenue by selling airline tickets at consolidator rates. We do not accept payment from airlines for editorial coverage, and we do not run affiliate links to competing booking platforms.

When an article includes a link to a Camli booking page, it is because the fare is relevant to the content — not because of a commercial arrangement. We clearly label all promotional content with a "Sponsored" or "Camli Deal" badge.
