Camli Flight Savings Report
Monthly data report showing how much Camli customers save compared to published fares on Google Flights and Expedia. Based on real bookings processed through our IATA-accredited consolidator network.
Optimal Booking Window — When to Book for Maximum Savings
Our data reveals a clear pattern: booking 6–10 weeks before departure yields the highest average savings. However, the optimal window varies by destination type. Caribbean routes peak earlier (3–5 weeks), while long-haul international routes to South America and Asia benefit from earlier booking (6–10 weeks).
| Booking Window | Average Savings | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 weeks before | 22% | Limited availability, higher prices |
| 3–5 weeks before | 47% | Sweet spot for Caribbean routes |
| 6–10 weeks before | 52% | Best for South America & Asia |
| 11–16 weeks before | 41% | Good for peak season travel |
| 17+ weeks before | 35% | Too early — fares not yet released |
Frequently Asked Questions
- How does Camli find fares cheaper than Google Flights?
- Camli is an IATA-accredited consolidator that purchases airline seats in bulk at wholesale rates. These fares are not published on metasearch engines like Google Flights or OTAs like Expedia. Our average fare is consistently 40–50% below published prices across all tracked routes.
- Are these savings consistent every month?
- Savings vary by route and season, but consolidator discounts are structural — they exist because airlines allocate unsold inventory at wholesale rates year-round. Over the past months, our average savings have ranged from 39% to 52% below published fares.
- Which routes offer the biggest savings?
- Long-haul international routes consistently offer the largest discounts. Routes to South America (JFK→EZE, JFK→GIG) and Asia-Pacific (LAX→HND, LAX→SYD) typically show 45–50% savings versus published fares.
- When is the best time to book for maximum savings?
- Based on our data, booking 6–10 weeks before departure yields the highest average savings (50%+). Caribbean routes peak at 3–5 weeks out, while South America and Asia routes are best booked 6–10 weeks ahead.
- How often is this report updated?
- We publish a new savings report on the 1st of every month with data from the previous month. Each report includes route-by-route fare comparisons, booking window analysis, and price trend data based on actual bookings processed through Camli.
- Can I get price drop alerts for specific routes?
- Yes — sign up for Camli Price Drop Alerts on our Deals page. You'll receive an email notification when fares drop significantly on your preferred routes. There's no cost and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Methodology
This report analyzes round-trip bookings processed through Camli. Comparison prices are the average published fares for identical route/date combinations as displayed on Google Flights and Expedia at the time of each booking. All fares include taxes and fees. Savings percentages are calculated against the lower of the two comparison prices. Routes with fewer than 50 bookings in the period are excluded. Data is aggregated and anonymized — no individual booking details are disclosed.
