Cabin Policy
Emirates does not permit pets to travel in the cabin with passengers. The only exceptions are for trained service dogs on specific routes (primarily to/from the US and Europe) and for falcons between Dubai and certain destinations in Pakistan. All other animals must travel as checked baggage or cargo.
Cargo Policy
Emirates offers extensive cargo services for a wide range of animals through Emirates SkyCargo. This is the required method for all pets arriving in Dubai, for unaccompanied pets, for flights over 17 hours, or for transits in Dubai longer than 6 hours. The cargo facility provides specialized care, and bookings must be made through the cargo office or a licensed agent. Costs vary based on weight, size, and route.
Breed Restrictions
Emirates will not transport English and French Bulldogs at any time. Other snub-nosed breeds (including various terriers, spaniels, pugs, and bulldogs, as well as Persian and Himalayan cats) are restricted to travel between November 1 and April 30 and require a larger crate. Certain powerful breeds like Mastiffs, Rottweilers, and Dobermans require reinforced crates.
