Cabin Policy
Hawaiian Airlines allows small domestic dogs and cats to travel in the cabin on inter-island flights and flights between Hawaii and North America. Pets are not allowed in the cabin on international flights or on flights to/from JFK, BOS, AUS, and SLC. The carrier must be soft-sided and no larger than 17"x11"x9.5". The pet must remain in the carrier, stowed under the seat in front of you, for the entire flight. A health certificate is required for travel between Hawaii and North America.
Cargo Policy
For pets that do not meet the requirements for in-cabin or checked baggage travel, Hawaiian Airlines offers cargo services through their HA Cargo department. This is necessary for larger animals, unaccompanied pets, or for travel to international destinations. Shippers must have a known shipper account with Hawaiian Airlines. The cost for cargo transport varies based on the size and weight of the animal and the travel route.
Breed Restrictions
Non-domestic dogs and cats and hybrids such as wolf, wolf cross, Dingo, Bengal, and Savannah are prohibited.
