Pricing Explained

Fare Transparency

Camli offers consolidator fares — wholesale airline prices that are typically lower than publicly available rates. This page explains what consolidator fares are, how we source them, and our complete fee structure.

What Are Consolidator Fares?

Consolidator fares are wholesale airline tickets sold through IATA-accredited agencies that have negotiated bulk purchasing agreements with airlines. These fares exist because airlines prefer to sell seats at a discount through trusted agency partners rather than leave them empty.

Key characteristics of consolidator fares:

  • Lower than published rates: Typically 20–60% below the fares shown on airline websites and public booking engines.
  • Official airline tickets: These are real airline e-tickets, not vouchers. They appear in the airline's reservation system and carry the same protections as any other ticket.
  • Not publicly listed: Airlines restrict consolidator fares from appearing on meta-search engines like Google Flights, Kayak, or Skyscanner. This is why you won't find these prices elsewhere.
  • Limited availability: Consolidator allocations are finite. Once the allocated seats sell out, the fare is no longer available at that price.

How Camli Sources Fares

Camli accesses consolidator fares through a network of airline partnerships and GDS (Global Distribution System) connections:

  1. Direct airline agreements: Planet Aero LLC holds negotiated rate agreements with airlines that provide access to unpublished fare classes.
  2. Consolidator network: We partner with established consolidator networks that aggregate bulk allocations from multiple airlines.
  3. GDS access: Our Sabre GDS connection provides access to fare filings, including net fares and private fares that are not visible on public booking platforms.

When you search on Camli, our system queries these sources simultaneously and presents the lowest available fare for your route and dates.

Price guarantee: Once you receive a fare quote from Camli, that price is guaranteed for the duration of the booking hold (typically 24 hours). If the fare increases before ticketing, we honor the quoted price.

Why Our Prices Differ from Google Flights

Google Flights, Kayak, and other meta-search engines only display publicly filed fares — the prices airlines make available to everyone. Consolidator fares are contractually restricted from appearing on these platforms.

This is not a loophole or a trick. It is how airline distribution has worked for decades. Airlines offer lower rates to accredited agencies in exchange for guaranteed volume, and those agencies (like Camli) pass the savings to travelers.

Ticket Conditions & Restrictions

Consolidator fares may have different change/cancellation policies than fully flexible retail fares. We are transparent about these conditions:

  • Change fees: Displayed clearly during booking. Some consolidator fares have higher change fees than retail equivalents.
  • Cancellation policy: Refund eligibility and any cancellation fees are shown before payment.
  • Frequent flyer miles: Most consolidator tickets earn frequent flyer miles, though some fare classes may earn at a reduced rate. This is noted when applicable.
  • Upgrade eligibility: Consolidator tickets are eligible for paid upgrades. Complimentary upgrade eligibility varies by airline and fare class.

All fare conditions are displayed on the booking page before you enter payment information. If you have questions about a specific fare's conditions, our booking agents are available to explain them.
