What Are Consolidator Fares?
Consolidator fares are wholesale airline tickets sold through IATA-accredited agencies that have negotiated bulk purchasing agreements with airlines. These fares exist because airlines prefer to sell seats at a discount through trusted agency partners rather than leave them empty.
Key characteristics of consolidator fares:
- Lower than published rates: Typically 20–60% below the fares shown on airline websites and public booking engines.
- Official airline tickets: These are real airline e-tickets, not vouchers. They appear in the airline's reservation system and carry the same protections as any other ticket.
- Not publicly listed: Airlines restrict consolidator fares from appearing on meta-search engines like Google Flights, Kayak, or Skyscanner. This is why you won't find these prices elsewhere.
- Limited availability: Consolidator allocations are finite. Once the allocated seats sell out, the fare is no longer available at that price.
